Inbox

Planned

One thread per customer, across every channel.

Email, web chat and WhatsApp in one shared inbox, with the person's bookings and deposits in the same panel — so nobody has to open a second system to answer “when am I booked in”.

The shared inbox is specified and not built. This page describes what it will do.

What it will do

Channels
Email, web chat, WhatsApp — one conversation, one history
Assignment
Rules, round robin, manual, with internal comments and mentions
SLA
First-response and resolution timers with breach alerts
Composition
Macros, canned replies and snooze, in English and Arabic including right-to-left
Booking panel
The customer's upcoming bookings, deposit state and no-show history, next to the message
Handover
Every assignment and reassignment recorded, so a thread has a chain of custody
A reception desk with nobody behind it, under a row of hanging glass lamps, with a vase of flowers on the counter and an armchair waiting to one side.

Priced per seat, not per resolution

The market has already de-coupled AI from the seat and turned it into a meter: $0.05 per conversation at one vendor, $0.99 per outcome at another, and one large vendor that does not publish its rate at all. A meter you cannot forecast is a bill you cannot approve. Bookesto publishes every rate it charges, and the inbox itself is included in the seat.

Matching an email address is not proof of identity

Anyone can send email from an address. Where a channel supports cryptographic identity verification, Bookesto will use it, and what an unverified contact can see will be deliberately narrower than what a verified one can: an unverified person is told that a booking exists and when, and nothing about payments, deposit amounts or history. That rule is enforced in our own API rather than in the inbox interface, because the interface is not the security boundary.

Built on Chatwoot Community Edition

The agent inbox is Chatwoot’s MIT-licensed Community Edition, run unmodified and pinned to the community build so that no commercially-licensed code is ever present on disk. Bookesto adds the booking panel and the routing layer on top through documented APIs. We do not enable, ship, or resell any of Chatwoot’s commercial features.

There is no AI in the inbox today, and it is switched off rather than hidden.

An AI agent answering customers needs three things before it can exist: a commercial model API with a signed data-processing agreement, an approved monthly budget cap, and a disclosure at the first message of every conversation, which European law has required since 2 August 2026. None of the first two is approved. Until they are, the inbox is a human inbox, the price does not depend on the AI shipping, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
